Opportunities for Involvement
Groups
Trinity Baptist Church offers a variety of community groups that foster strong spiritual relationships between church members, promote personal growth and introspection, and work to reach out and help the needy in our society. We are always looking for new members, and we hope that you will take the time to become even more involved in our church family through one or more of our programs.
Youth Group
Teenagers find fun and fellowship in the various activities of our Youth Group. With Bible studies on Sunday and Wednesday nights, along with fellowships and other activities in between, students are challenged to grow in their spiritual walk and be a witness to others during these formative years. Some of the activities include a DiscipleNow retreat in the winter, Youth Camp in the summer, and exciting trips to other conferences during the year.
AWANA Clubs
Trinity is proud to host the AWANA Club each Wednesday evening while school is in session. AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, an idea taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Beginning with a check in at 5:30 p.m., children from preschool through 6th grade are challenged through Bible study, scripture memorization, and recreation - all with an emphasis on missions.
Senior Adults
Although the name seems to signify that this ministry has some age requirements, all are welcome to join any of the activities for seniors. On the second Thursday of each month, Trinity hosts a Senior Adult Luncheon with speakers from various entities who provide information on a vast array of subjects. Bring your favorite covered dish and join us for an exciting time of fellowship at noon on these occasions. Additionally, our seniors are very active and make several trips a year to other churches to for special nights of worship and entertainment.
Children’s Choir
On Sundays at 6:00 p.m., children from preschool through 5th grade learn songs, laugh, and find time to rejoice in the Lord through music. Once they have a song “down pat,” they enliven our morning worship service with a smiling rendition of some favorite worship songs.
Children’s Church
On Sunday mornings, children are invited at the time of the offering to join the Children’s Church workers for age appropriate Bible stories and songs. While the adults are being challenged in God’s word during the morning worship service, the Children are challenged during their own worship time in the preschool building.
Adult Choir
This fun and exciting ministry adds another beautiful dimension to our worship services. Leading us in a variety of music genres, the choir sings specials several times a month and annually produces several cantatas as well.
GROW Outreach
By committing to 1 hour and 15 minutes a month, you can help us reach into our community with the arms of God’s love. In this innovative outreach program, you commit to participate only once each month. Groups meet on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. and at 10:00 a.m. on the Monday prior to the 4th Tuesday.
Classes
We also offer an array of classes to all of our members. Spending an extra hour per week immersed in Christian dialogues, prayers, and thoughts can go a long way to aid you on your spiritual journey. We encourage you to take full advantage of our experienced teachers and the thought-provoking material offered in each of our classes.
Sunday Morning Bible Study Classes:
Babies/nursery
Our youngest attendees are cared for in an age appropriate grouping in order to keep them safe and loved while you worship or attend Bible study.
Children
The children of Trinity Baptist Church are taught the Bible by teachers with as much as 30 years of experience teaching children. You won’t be surprised if they come home knowing as much as you do about a Bible character!
Our Children’s Classes include:
Pre-k/Kindergarten (Children age 4 – 6 years)
1-2 grade – This Bible study class is for children in the 1st and 2nd grades.
3-4 grade – This Bible study class is for children in the 3rd and 4th grades.
5-6 grade – This Bible study class is for children in the 5th and 6th grades.
Youth
Teenagers in the 7th through the 12th grades have fun spending time together in God’s word. Our teachers combine everyday relevance with the never changing word of God. Classes are divided into Junior and Senior High classes.
Adult
These classes have a broad age range without hard age divisions. Some are designed for couples who would like to attend together and others are designed specifically for men or women. Feel free to attend where you feel most comfortable.
